María García investigates products and
materials to get unique pieces
and exclusives that complement the
design of each space.
After graduating in Philosophy and Literature and after carrying out a research project on the importance of film sets,
I discovered my true vocation:
the creation of spaces.
It was in 2002 that I obtained a degree in Decoration Projects and Construction and focused my professional career on interior design. During several years I worked in the creation of hotel spaces from the Design Department of the “Grupo Fuerte Hoteles”, until I founded the studio THE-WALLER on my own.
I LIKE TO SAY I AM
A SPACE COMPOSER.
I am passionate to verify that, just as the notes of a score create a melody, the succession of colors, shapes and materials can transform a nondescript space into a beautiful one, very different from the preexisting one, especially when I approach redesign projects, sometimes I create them a second skin with very little on-site intervention.
